They'll tell you they're fine. With Wisdom you know if that changes.

They'll tell you they're fine. With Wisdom you know if that changes.

Your dad is 82 and sharp as ever. He lives alone, two hours away, in the house he's lived in for 50 years. He's independent, routine-driven, and private. He doesn't want to be managed.

But you noticed he's sleeping more. The homecare provider comes twice a week for a few hours. Your sister lives even farther than you. Phone calls only tell you what he chooses to share.

You're looking for something that fills the gap between visits with real information, not just hope that everything is fine.

That's what Wisdom does.

Wisdom uses intelligent sensors placed in key areas of the home to build awareness of daily patterns throughout the home. Over time, the system develops an understanding of what normal looks like for each person. When something deviates from that pattern, Wisdom sends context-rich alerts to the people who need to know: family members, professional caregivers, or emergency services.

Not a generic notification. Specific, actionable information about what happened, where, and when. The rest of the time, Wisdom is ambient. The older adult lives their life. The system stays aware in the background.

Step 1: Intelligent sensors in key areas

Small, unobtrusive intelligent sensors are installed in rooms that matter most: bathroom, bedroom, hallways, kitchen, stairs. No construction. No disruption.

Step 2: Wisdom builds daily awareness

It develops an understanding of daily routine: wake up times and daily activity through the house. This baseline becomes the reference point for subtle changes in movement and rest.

Step 3: Alerts that matter

If Wisdom detects a potential fall, unusual inactivity, or a significant change in routine, it provides an alert to the Trusted Circle: the caregivers the older adult has chosen. Alerts include context about what happened.

Step 4: The right people respond when needed

Family members and caregivers get meaningful information when they need it. If an emergency requires it, Wisdom escalates to emergency services automatically.

Privacy by design

Visibility with privacy

Customizable privacy options let you share exactly what you want, with who you want. Configure access by person or by sensor. Families see what they need to. Nothing more.

Data protection

Your data stays in your home

Critical processing happens on the home hub, not the cloud. Your data doesn't leave your home unless you choose to share it. Wisdom is committed to data privacy and protection.

Actionable alerts

Context, not noise

"Potential fall detected — bathroom, 2:15 AM" with a short clip is enough to act on. Context-rich alerts cut through the noise and reduce false alarm fatigue.

Connected care

Designed for the whole care team

Caregivers, agencies, and family members connected in a single system. Everyone in the Trusted Circle sees what's relevant to their role — care teams coordinate across visits, families stay informed without carrying the burden alone.

If your family already has a home care provider or works with an agency, Wisdom doesn't replace that support. It extends it. Your aide is there a few hours, a few days a week. Wisdom fills the time between visits with 24/7 safety net, so the whole care team has better information. Alerts can go to your family and your care provider, which means faster, more coordinated responses when something changes.

Ask your home care provider if they partner with Wisdom, or talk to our team about how it works alongside the support already in place.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my mom is still safe living alone?

No technology can tell you that for certain. What Wisdom can do is show what is actually happening between visits. Families usually catch the late signals, like a fall mentioned days afterward or calls that stop being returned. The harder ones to see are gradual: moving more slowly, sleeping differently, going out less. Wisdom surfaces those changes so the conversation about the right level of support is based on evidence rather than worry.

How is Wisdom different from Life Alert or a traditional medical alert system?

A medical alert works only if it is worn and the person can press it, which is exactly what fails in a fall or at night. Wisdom needs nothing worn or pressed. Intelligent sensors in the home detect a fall or unusual inactivity on their own and alert the Trusted Circle with context about what happened and where. With Wisdom Essentials Plus and Wisdom Enhanced, an unanswered alert escalates to 24/7 emergency response. The optional Wisdom Connected Smartwatch, powered by Samsung Galaxy Watch, adds fall detection and one-press SOS away from home.

She has a medical alert lanyard and never wears it. What do we do now?

Non-compliance is the known failure of the pendant category, and it is why many families end up here. A button has to be pressed, and the moments families worry about most, like a trip to the bathroom at night, are exactly when it tends to be sitting on the nightstand. Wisdom works without anything worn or pressed. Intelligent sensors in the home detect a fall and alert the Trusted Circle whether or not she remembers to put something on.

What aging-in-place options are available before assisted living?

Decisions for aging in place are complex and should include the counsel of professionals. More options exist than most families realize. Home modifications and fall-proofing address physical risk. A few hours of home care a week cover specific tasks. Adult day programs and community services provide structure and company. A medical alert helps if it is worn. Smart home technology like Wisdom gives visibility when no one is there. Most families combine several of these and adjust as needs change, often with guidance from a care manager or the person's physician.

My parent worries about their privacy, and does not want to be monitored. How do we approach it?

Start with the person who will be living with it. Explain what Wisdom does, what it does not do, and who would see what. Then let them set the terms: they choose who is in the Trusted Circle and what each person can see. Safety technology someone resents often gets unplugged. If they decide they do not want it, that decision should be respected.

Will we get a flood of false alarms?

Avoiding that is central to the design. Wisdom learns what an ordinary day looks like in a specific home, so it looks for meaningful change rather than reacting to every movement. Each alert carries context: what happened, where, and when. No detection technology is perfect, and real conditions affect it, but the goal is to provide an active signal to act on without the alert fatigue that leads families to start ignoring notifications.

Can Wisdom detect falls in the bathroom without cameras?

Yes. Wisdom Essentials Plus uses radar to detect a fall in any room including a bathroom. Radar senses movement and body position rather than capturing an image, so there is no camera and nothing to view in a private room. Wisdom Essentials provides activity awareness but does not include fall detection. In Essentials and Essentials Plus there are no cameras anywhere in the home.

Does Wisdom help prevent falls or detect them?

Wisdom does not prevent falls, but can help identify increased fall risk which supports early intervention. Wisdom Essentials Plus and Wisdom Enhanced detect when a fall may have occurred, identify the room, and alert the Trusted Circle, escalating to 24/7 emergency response and then to emergency services if no one responds. Wisdom Essentials does not include fall detection. Separately, because Wisdom learns a person's normal movement, it can surface gradual changes in activity that families may want to discuss with a clinician.

What does a home safety plan for an older adult living alone include?

A good plan usually combines several layers. Home modifications and fall-proofing reduce physical risk. Help from family covers what it can. Professional home care fills scheduled gaps. A medical alert or smart home technology like Wisdom covers the hours when no one is there. The right mix depends on the person's health, mobility, home, and support network, and it should be revisited as things change, ideally with input from their physician.

How is Wisdom different from a medical alert or a home monitoring system?

A medical alert is built for emergencies and waits to be triggered. Someone has to wear it, recognize the emergency, and press the button. A home monitoring system runs continuously but relies on someone watching a feed to notice anything. Wisdom does neither. It learns the routines of an ordinary day, identifies meaningful changes on its own, and tells the Trusted Circle what happened, so no one has to watch anything.

Can I check in on my mom from my phone without calling her, if I live in another state?

Yes. The MyWisdom app works from anywhere, on iPhone and Android, and shows whether the day is going as expected rather than asking you to constantly log on or watch anything. Each member of the Trusted Circle sets their own alerts, so someone four states away and a neighbor two doors down do not receive the same things. Distance is why many families start with Wisdom. It answers the question you would otherwise be calling to ask.
