Goidel Adds Wisdom’s Intelligent Smart Home and 24/7 Emergency Response Capabilities to its Concierge Care Coordination® Service

NEW YORK, October 6, 2026 — Goidel Law Group PLLC, an estate planning and elder law firm based in Melville, NY and Wisdom, a smart home solution for aging in place, have joined forces to help older adults in the New York area confidently and successfully age in the homes they love.

The partnership comes as nearly one in five New York State residents is age 65 or older. AARP’s 2024 Home and Community Preferences Survey found that 75% of adults 50 and older want to stay in their current homes as they age, yet 44% expect they will have to move. That gap underscores the need to make aging at home safe, affordable, and sustainable.

Through the partnership, Wisdom will be available as part of Goidel Law Group’s Concierge Care Coordination® service, which integrates legal and care planning. Dedicated care coordinators and legal counsel work alongside older adult clients and their families to create individualized plans, advocate for independence, and adapt support as needs change. The Wisdom system adds a connected care layer to this legal and care planning, giving families greater awareness of how an older adult is doing at home while preserving their privacy and independence.

Wisdom uses intelligent sensors that work quietly in the background to detect potential falls and notice changes in routine, such as a lack of movement, alerting caregivers when something may need attention. If needed, the system can escalate to the connected 24/7 emergency response center keeps families and older adults connected without requiring the older adult to actively use the technology.

For many families, one of the hardest parts of supporting a loved one at home is simply the uncertainty about how they are doing day to day. Wisdom is designed to fill that gap with timely and meaningful information. As part of the Trusted Circle on the MyWisdom app, family members and Goidel’s care coordinators can see recent activity, and alerts and coordinate a response when needed. Privacy settings are configurable, and the older adult determines who is part of their Trusted Circle and what information is shared.

The partnership began in the summer of 2026, with initial Goidel client homes already using Wisdom and additional deployments underway across Long Island and the New York metropolitan area. Wisdom is designed to work in a wide range of residential settings, including New York City cooperatives, condominiums and rental apartments, helping more older adults remain safely and independently in the homes and communities they know. The companies will host an educational event at North Shore Towers on October 8, 2026, focused on helping older adults and families plan for aging safely at home.
